Preliminary hearing set for arson case

A February 24th preliminary hearing has been set for a Sunrise Beach man who is accused of arson. 33-year-old Mark Stripling was arrested following an investigation into an apartment fire in the 100 block of North Business 5 in Camdenton, in October. Authorities believe that Stripling set the fire in the apartment and then loaded up property in a metal cooler, a trash can, hampers, and a suitcase. Among property taken from the property was handguns. Stripling is charged with 3 counts of stealing and 1 count of burglary and arson.
