Polk Serious wreck

2 people received serious injuries during a one-vehicle crash in Polk County on Tuesday night. According to the Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Christina Yount of Lawrence Kansas was being pursued by Polk County Deputies on East 420th Road a mile west of Bolivar, when her pickup skidded off a curve and hit a tree. Yount and her passenger 57-year-old Scott Reed were both seriously injured. Reed was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Yount was transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar by ambulance. According to the Highway Patrol neither was wearing a seatbelt.
