An incident that began with Lebanon Police responding to a report of a manager at Wendy’s being threatened, has resulted in a felony charge being filed against a 23-year-old Springfield woman. The incident was reported just after midnight on Saturday, and the suspect has reported driven away and was parked at a business next door. As police were arriving the car, that Vanity Alexis Wester drove away. Wester stopped, and an officer was able to speak with her and get her I.D. When the officer ran the woman through dispatch, it was discovered that her license was revoked, and she had warrants for her arrest. When the officer told her about the warrants, she put the car in drive and sped away on to I-44, traveling at speeds up to 125 with the officer in pursuit. When the officer got to the 136-mile marker, he stopped pursuing her, and the Laclede County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Highway Patrol took over. Wester was eventually arrested. In addition to multiple traffic citations, Wester is charged with Felony Resisting Arrest or Stop by fleeing.  The employee at Wendy’s told police that she didn’t want to file charges.
