Police Chief Bryan Arnold reports license plate reader stats

Lebanon Police Chief Bryan Arnold gave City Council an update on Thursday night on goals within his department. Chief Arnold said the goal is to have 2 neighborhood watch groups in place annually, in crime-driven areas of the city.

Chief Arnold said that officers have been doing random foot patrols downtown, and they have routinely been using the UTV at special events and patroling city parks. In the crime prevention arena, he said they have been working with code administration and doing inspections at city parks for less than secure areas and to determine where more lighting is needed. The license plate readers that were recently purchased by the City of Lebanon have been in place for 11 days and have proven to be a good tool for law enforcement…

Chief Arnold said they continue to work with LANEG and since January 2020, there have been 51 countywide arrests that resulted in the seizure of multiple illegal drugs, and 2 investigations that involved federal agencies, and multiple states.
