Plans underway to address housing shortage in Camdenton

Steps are underway to add multiple housing units in the City of Camdenton. City Administrator Jeff Hooker tells Regional Radio News that a proposed project off of Cedar Street will hopefully address a housing shortage that has affected Camdenton for about 5 years.
Hooker said the tax abatement will impact the school district, ambulance district and the county….
As planning moves forward, Hooker said construction could begin late summer or early fall. There are also plans for significant development along Jack Crowell Road, by Lake Ozarks Development and Hidaway Cove Condominiums.
