Plans continue for Wagons For Warriors May event

Even though these times are rather uncertain because of the coronavirus health crisis, organizers continue to plan for events taking place in the future. Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Darrell Pollock tells us the 10th Annual Wagons for Warriors event has been scheduled for May 23rd. He said they are optimistic that the threat from the pandemic will be less by then….

Each year, more than 30 Chuckwagons gather at the Laclede County Fairgrounds next to the Cowan Civic Center, for the event. Wagons for Warriors will officially begin with a Chuck Wagon Parade on Friday May 22nd at 11. The main event will be on Saturday with lunch beginning at noon, and then on Sunday at 9am there will be a Cowboy Church at the Wagons. The Nanticoke Indian Tribe will hold a pow-wow, and weather permitting Parachutist Dana Bowman will drop in with the American Flag.
