As Lebanon City Staff continues to lay out capital improvement plans for the upcoming year, City Council members are hearing presentations about the proposed projects. One such project is development of an amphitheater at Boswell Park. Parks Director John Shelton said they are recommending a 40 x 25 structure for the stage which could double as a shelter.

The proposed structure included a brick wall feature which would include a working fireplace. The proposed amphitheater would be located at the current Boswell Park Ball Field. The cost of the structure is estimated to be around $71-thousand, the concrete work for the project will be done in house, which will reduce the overall cost of the project. Shelton is taking the final proposal to the Park Board for approval and then it will be taken back to Lebanon City Council.
