Planning and Zoning Smoke Shop/Arcade/Adult Retail
The City of Lebanon Planning and Zoning Commission has voted 4/3 on the conditional use permit request for a smoke shop, boutique, adult-oriented retail, and arcade store, on Lynn Street. Brett Germoski, who has also put in a request for a restaurant that serves alcohol, clarifies what the shop will be exactly.
Although there was some speculation if the no chance gaming machines are considered gambling or not, there is no clear answer from the State Government on what can be considered gambling when it comes to these machines. Germoski stated, and read a statement from the Tortes Machines, who will provide the machines for the establishment, that since there is no risk in playing on these machines, and you are told the outcome before the money is put in the machine, it cannot be considered gambling. Jeff Stokes, Zoning and Planning Commission Chairman, asked Chris Allen about the machine’s definition.
The commission voted 4/3 for the request.
