Pickup truck tries to check in at Fort Wood Inn

Two people were injured when a pickup truck ran off Highway 17 and into the Fort Wood Inn late Thursday afternoon. Witnesses said the white Ford pickup left the roadway, ran down an embankment, hit other vehicles including another white Ford pickup, and into the building. Truck occupants’ names were not released. further details were not available from Waynesville Police last night.
