Phelps County Serious Crash

A crash occurred this morning in Phelps county leaving a driver seriously injured. The crash occurred on I-44 westbound at the 184-mile marker. 27-year-old Rolla resident Cody Wilson, traveling with 19-year-old St. James resident Donald Ground, traveled off of the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. 35-year-old Schiller Park, Illinois resident, Suzana Stojanovic was slowing due to Wilson’s actions. Wilson’s vehicle struck the trailer of Stojanovic’s vehicle, as it stopped in the roadway. Ground was moderately injured while Wilson was seriously injured, and it’s unknown if they were wearing a seatbelt. Stojanovic was unharmed.
