One person died in an eight-vehicle crash on I-44 near Waynesville Tuesday in Pulaski County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says, six semi and two pickup trucks were involved in the 12:40 am crash. A tractor-trailer driven by 49-year-old Stockbridge, Georgia resident, avoided another vehicle causing a chain reaction crash. The patrol says, a 54-year-old Sparta man, Jimmie Stackpole, died in the accident. A pickup driven by 33-year-old Jason Owens of Falcon was also in that crash. It’s not known his or the others involved conditions. The Patrol says, one tractor-trailer was carrying pudding that spilled onto the interstate that had to be cleaned up. The Health Department was also notified of the spill.
