Permit application for bike fest
The clock is ticking on plans for the annual bike fest that takes place at Lake of the Ozarks, and while it’s still a few months away, Lake Ozark Police Chief Gary Launderville said the permit application should already be in the works, but as of yet, no one has stepped up as an organizer.
Chief Luanderville said it takes a few months for his department to plan for larger-scale events at Lake Ozark because he has to plan for officers to be on duty, and many times he calls in support from other agencies. He said last year Bike Fest cost the city of Lake Ozark around $10-thousand dollars in manpower for the Police Department.
