Pedestrian Killed in Osage Beach Traffic Collision Wednesday

The Osage Beach Police Department has revealed the name of the pedestrian who was killed in a traffic crash in an area of eastbound Highway 54 on the Grand Glaize Bridge Wednesday afternoon.
He is identified at 30-year-old Zachariah S. Breeden of Rocky Mount, who was struck by a car while attempting to climb aboard a pickup truck that had stopped in the far-right lane of the roadway with its hazard lights activated.
According to the police report, the car’s driver, 24-year-old Emma A. Gretlein of Osage Beach, realized the GMC was stopped, but was unabled to to avoid the vehicle and swerved to the left, but her car struck the truck on the driver’s side where Breeden was climbing in the back seat.
Breeden was pronounced dead at the scene.
