Payment system change for OATS Transit Riders

Starting July 1st, the OATS Transit system in the Mid Missouri Region, which includes Laclede, Camden, Miller, Morgan and Pulaski County, will be changing to a different payment system for riders.
Jill Stedem said that a rider will add funds to an account in advance, and drivers will no longer handle cash payments…..

Stedem said this will allow for faster loading times, safety of the driver and add convenience for riders. In addition, the fare for the general public in the Mid Missouri Region will be set at $2 per one way ride regardless of origin or destination. Stedem said they won’t call you to set up payment, you will need to call them at 888-875-6287. Anyone is eligible to use the OATS Transit System. The change in the payment system will begin on July 1st.
