High temperatures affect many aspects of day to day life especially when heat index values reach above 100. Not only do we have to be concerned about our health and safety, but when traveling we need to be alert for possible pavement blow ups. The pavement blowout may be small or it may become a serious road hazard. If you encounter an area where the pavement has buckled you should slow down, and when you get to a safe stop call 1-888-askmodot and inform them of the location of the pavement blowout.
