Parts of Freemont Road closed Tuesday
The City of Lebanon Street Department will be closing parts of Freemont Road today, to aid in the pick-up of storm debris. Traffic Monday hindered storm debris pick up a and city crews will be able to be more productive with reduced traffic. Residents will still be able to detour to get to their homes. The damage from this storm was extensive with numerous large trees needing to be picked up so it is taking city crews more time than it normally would following a storm. Monday crews hauled 52 loads of debris from Ridgeview, Heidi, Burd, Lafayette, LaCross, Chantilly, Tulane, Burgundy, Kasen, and Fremont Road between South Jefferson and Boardwalk. They expect to finish LaSalle, Ozark, Elizabeth, and Waterman Tuesday. The city reports it could take up to a month to complete cleanup efforts.
