A Pulaski County School has a new program in place to encourage good behavior and reading. Immediately following a ribbon cutting on November 18th, the book-dispensing vending machine opened for business at Partridge Elementary. The new vending machine allows students to select a book to keep, but there’s a catch: Students must earn a token to purchase one of the books.    To earn a token, a student must be recognized by a teacher or staff member for going above and beyond in achieving an academic, behavior or a social-emotional goal. The first students to receive the tokens were recognized for helping another student, showing integrity and going above and beyond in reading.
