Park Board Introduces Improvements
The City of Lebanon Park Board has stated plans for improvements upcoming in parks. For starters, the Boswell Park Mural will be getting replacement tiles. Tiles have been falling off of the mural, and the reason suspected is water got behind the tiles and froze causing them to unstick from the wall. The replacements are at least partially covered by an insurance claim, Parks Director John Shelton explains.
Another improvement is various asphalt needs will be taken care of. Willard Asphalt will be at a cost of between $25,000 and $30,000. There are patches in Atchley Park, parking lots, and pads for concession trucks that need to be filled. A motion was made to approve the costs.
Cost’s over $5,000 will go to City Council, but spending approval was still given for projects.
