A man who was panhandling in the 600 block of North Monroe was arrested by Lebanon Police on Thursday. Lebanon Police responded to a call about a suspicious person who was asking for money just before 8am. When police spoke with the 39-year-old man, they were given consent to search him. During the search, the man was allegedly found to be in possession of a clear bottle with a crystal-like substance. When an officer field-tested the substance it was positive for methamphetamine. The man was arrested and received a summons for possession of a controlled substance.
