Painting the road

If you have driven on state highways recently you may have noticed a line of MODOT vehicles traveling in a train at a very slow speed. Bob Lynch with the Missouri Department of Transportation tells us the striping crews are refreshing the road stripes, and drivers need to keep an eye out…

Lynch said the water-based paint will dry in just a couple of minutes but if you do get some on your vehicle, you should wash it off as quickly as possible with a pressure washer or at a car wash. Most of the striping is done during daylight hours, but you may see them working at night on the interstate or high volume divided highways.
