Paddle Away Poverty

It is almost float trip season, and Elevate Lebanon wants to float with you. The new organization helps people struggling with poverty, housing and work. Elevate Lebanon is hosting a Paddle Away Poverty family fun fundraiser Sunday, June 25th at 1 P.M. at the Riverfront Campground on the Niangua River. The organization is hoping to do this fundraiser annually as they are hoping it will be one of their biggest ones. The fundraiser consists of a five-mile float and dinner will be included. Elevate Lebanon Program Director Robin Durbin says there will be a 50-dollar entry fee.

Durbin says you can bring your own vessel if you want to.

Durbin says sponsors can pay 100 dollars to sponsor their event however there is a deadline.
