Superintendent Chuck Woody with the Osage County R-3 school district has announced that schools there will be closed for the rest of the week due to a large number of COVID cases among staff.
Woody said the district is out of substitute teachers, and both students and staff have been hit hard.

He said many cafeteria workers were also affected, making it difficult to serve meals.
While schools in the district will be closed, the Nichols Career Center will be open.
