The Waynesville R-VI School District will be hosting an Open House outside in the front parking lot at Waynesville Middle School beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, weather permitting.
Major General James Bonner, Commanding General of the United States Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood, is scheduled to speak during the event.
Because this is a community event and the number who may attend this open house is unknown, the district is putting the following mitigation measures in place for those in attendance:
When you are up and moving around, including picking up food, please wear a mask and socially distance to the extent possible.
Once you are seated with your family, masking is optional. Masks will be required for those who tour the inside of the building and touring groups will be limited to approximately 20 per group. Tours will depart every 5 minutes.
Here is the schedule of events: Free hot dogs, chips and water will be served while supplies last at 5 p-m. A brief ceremony will be held at 5:45, and a ribbon cutting will take place at 6 o’clock, followed by tours of the facilities.
