Open-house public meeting and comment period for a project to rehabilitate the Missouri Route 28 bridge over I-44 near St. Robert

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will be hosting an open-house public meeting and comment period for a project to rehabilitate the Missouri Route 28 bridge over I-44 near St. Robert. Interested parties will have the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and provide input about the project during the open-house style meeting and open comment period. The meeting will take place at the city hall in St. Robert, located at 194 Eastlawn Avenue. It will be an open-house meeting with no formal presentation. Those interested in the project may come and go as they like on Tuesday, April 9th, between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Members of the project team will be on hand to answer questions, explain meeting exhibits, and provide project information. The 63-year-old bridge has stood the test of time with only minor improvements to the driving surface. The bridge’s deck and superstructure need more substantial repairs. These changes will enhance drivability, and traffic flow and increase the lifespan of the bridge. The exact timing of the construction is unknown with an estimated cost of $621,000. The bridge will close for up to 68 days during construction and a signed detour will be in place. More details about the project are available at Missouri Route 28 Bridge Rehabilitation over Interstate 44 in Pulaski |Missouri Department of Transportation (modot.org). There visitors will find project details and exhibits. Website visitors may also ask questions and make comments about the project during the two-week open comment period, April 9th through the 23rd. Written comments will also be accepted and should be postmarked on or before April 23rd, addressed to:
