Old Settlers’ Days July 29th and 30th
The annual midsummer celebration in Waynesville known as Old Settlers’ Day is only a week and a half away. It will take place over the course of two days–Saturday and Sunday, July 29th and 30th, in Roubidoux Park. The event is being sponsored by the Pulaski County Historical Society. The President of the historical society, Denise Seevers, says all the attractions of Old Settlers’ Day should be of appeal to all age groups.
Civil War enactors will be there for skirmishes, living history camps, and demonstrations. The Armed Services Y-M-C-A of Missouri will conduct its annual duck race. There will be live music performed by the Velvet Bricks. There will be a wide array of food vendors showing up, as well as craft vendors.
Copies of this year’s Old Settlers’ Gazette will be available. There will be no admission charge. Parking will be free.
