Oh Dear a Deer

Last year more than 36-hundred traffic crashes happened in Missouri because of deer, and it’s that time of year when deer become more active. While it can happen at any time, the majority of deer/vehicle crashes happen in October and November. Missouri Conservation Agent Jarred Milligan explains why deer change their behavior at this time of year….

Milligan said deer are more active during certain periods of the

day…

Drivers are reminded to stay alert and remember if you see one deer there may be more to follow so slow down and be on the lookout. If you hit a deer, move your vehicle to a safe location and call 9-1-1 or *55 on a cell phone and report it.
