Off-the-road vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Highway A-P, two miles south of Roby

An off-the-road vehicle accident Monday afternoon at one-thirty on Highway A-P, two miles south of Roby resulted in serious injuries for three people and moderate injuries for another person. The highway patrol says a 2022 Polaris, driven by 56-year-old Angelique Blain of Success, was traveling too fast. Blain lost control and the vehicle overturned. Seriously injured were 21-year-old Emily Chipman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 22-year-old Nikolaus R. Martin of Colorado Springs, and 40-year-old Teresa Chipman of Plato. Emily Chipman was taken by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Nikolaus Martin and Teresa Chipman were taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The driver of the Polaris, Angelique Blain, refused medical treatment for her moderate injuries.
