Norwood Teen Suffers Serious Injuries

A Norwood teen was seriously injured in a vehicle-tractor collision in Wright County on Friday. The crash occurred on Highway E, 4 miles north of Norwood, when a Jeep Utility driven by 19-year-old Norwood resident, Martha M. Chadwell, attempted to pass a Ford tractor being driven by 17-year-old Jay W. Yoder. Chadwell turned in front of the tractor as it turned and struck the tractor in the side. Yoder was seriously injured and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Chadwell received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
