No Cost boater safety course being offered at State Fair Community College at Lake of the Ozarks

State Fair Community College’s “The LearningForce” is offering a no-cost boater safety course November 6th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, at 3797 Osage Beach Parkway on the
SFCC-Lake of the Ozarks campus. This course is approved by the Missouri State Highway Patrol-Water Patrol Division and uses high-definition videos and comprehensive boating safety instruction to prepare participants to pass the boater safety exam. The Course is free to attend, but The Water Patrol Division charges $15 for the boater safety card. Pre-enrollment is required because seating is limited. Wearing masks and social distancing is also required; Lunch will be provided. Anyone can take the course, but the participant must be able to follow the course material and understand the content. Missouri law states boat operators must be 14 years of age unless accompanied by an adult. Operators under the age of 14 years with adult supervision still need to obtain a boater education card.
