The annual Newburg Day celebration will be taking place this Saturday in Downtown Newburg. Its theme this year is “100 Years of Wolf Pride.” The schedule of events has a parade starting at 10 a-m. The parade marshall is Cleata Jeanette Evans. Jim and Juanita Yelton Grande are Mr. and Mrs. Newburg. Breakfast will be served at 6 o’clock in the morning at Blues Too, plus food and drinks from 10 to 4 by the Newburg Days Committee. Houston House will be serving food and desserts.  Craft vendors will be offering craft items from 10 a-m to 4 p-m. There will be carnival games and bounce houses as well as a Children’s Festival at the Children’s Museum. Live entertainment at the Gazebo will be a fiddle and banjo group from 10 to 11 in the morning…the Red Bridge from 11 to noon…fiddle and banjo from noon to one in the afternoon…Red Bridge again from one to two in the afternoon…and Mick Byrd will perform Saturday afternoon from noon to 4 o’clock. Cloggers will perform at 11:30 a-m at Blues Too. There will be a Car Cruise-In at the Church of God. A 100-year class reunion will be held Friday evening at the Red Shed with food and live music from 5 to 9 o’clock.
