New Weather Alert System for Lebanon Parks

Lebanon City Council was asked to approve an amendment to the agreement with Dunn Mowing during Monday night’s meeting. The request by Lebanon Parks was in addition to the contract that was approved in April. Dunn Mowing will be adding Harke Park, Nelson Lake, Spiller Park, Wallace Park, and W.T. Vernon bringing the total amount paid to Dunn Mowing to just under $4-thousand each time all are mowed. In other business, Purchasing agent Jessica Meiners requested approval for the purchase of loading dock bumpers for the Emerson Warehouse at a cost of $5,027. City Council approved the purchase of a Weather Alert System for those attending events at Nelson Park, Atchley Park and Boswell Aquatic Center, at a cost of $10,044 for the first year and $6,597 annually for 6 years. Parks Director John Shelton said that once in place the system will alert people to lightening or inclement weather…..

In addition, there will be an app that people can download. Shelton said the system should arrive and be installed in about 16 weeks.
Mayor Jared Carr announced that the City of Lebanon has received the Leading the Way Award from ETC Institute.

ETC Institute is the company that conducted the residential and business survey, which is used to guide the City in project planning.
