New Principals Named at 6th Grade Center

Both the new principal and assistant principal have been announced for the Waynesville Sixth Grade Center. Ruth Ann Justus will become the principal and Naomi Austin will become the assistant principal of the Waynesville Sixth Grade Center on July 1st. Justus currently serves as the assistant principal and will be replacing Jamie Goforth, who is becoming the assistant superintendent of personnel services. Austin will be replacing Justus as the assistant principal.

Justus has been with the Waynesville R-VI School District since 2001 and has served as a paraprofessional, classroom teacher, chair of the district professional development team, and assistant principal. Austin serves as principal at the Verona R-7 school district for grades 7-12 and previously served as a principal at Wheaton R-3 for grades Pre-K-6. She also has taught writing, U.S. history, and English language arts, and has been a sponsor for several clubs and organizations.
