New Mayor and Council Members to be sworn into office this evening at Waynesville City Council
(Waynesville)–A new mayor will be sworn into office during this evening’s monthly Waynesville City Council meeting. After the June 2nd election results are certified, Dr. Jerry Brown will be sworn into office as Waynesville mayor. Other winning candidates from the municipal election earlier this month will also be administered the oath of office. These include Rob Rice as Ward One councilman, Cecil V. Davis the Second as Ward Two councilman, Ed Conley as Ward Three councilman, and Michael Curtis as Ward Four. Waynesville City Administrator Bruce Harrill will retire from the post he has held for several years. John Doyle will be appointed as the new City Administrator.
Meeting time this evening is 5:30 in the Waynesville Municipal Center.
