New cameras have been placed in every building in the Waynesville School District

As part of an ongoing effort to increase school safety measures, several upgrades new cameras have been placed in every building in the district and are now on a web-based platform, allowing administrators to access them easier. All doors are also being re-key fobbed so that they are on the same platform. Waynesville R-VI Director of Operations Billy Cobb says the district is also rolling out a new campaign regarding the propping of doors.
Cobb says in addition to the upgrades, new school resource officers have been sworn in and are now also commissioned through the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.
