Net Metering bill prefiled by Representative Knight

State Representatives in Missouri have begun prefiling bills for the 2022 Legislative Session.. Representative Jeff Knight has prefiled a bill that will impact those who use solar and wind energy.

Knight said the net metering bill would allow a fixed cost at wholesale, not retail, to sell excess energy to the electric company. House bill 1852 also establishes a “Task Force on Distributed Energy 2 Resources and Net Metering”. The 2022 Legislative session begins on January 5th.
