Neon Park proposed for St. Robert

(St. Robert)–For several years an organization connected to Pulaski County Tourism has been collecting funds to construct a Neon Park in Reed Park in St. Robert. The intention was to purchase neon signs and put them in the park as a bright tourist attraction. The organization has collected about 12-thousand dollars in donations and has approached the City of St. Robert to take over the project. St. Robert Mayor George Lauritson says the city council voted to do just that at its meeting on Tuesday night.

St. Robert council members on Tuesday night also approved the purchase of two new cars for the municipal police department.
