A 60-year-old man from Nebraska was arrested on Tuesday after leaving the scene of an accident. Lebanon Police responded to a 3 vehicle accident just before 4 pm Tuesday. During the accident, police learned that the driver of a BMW identified as being from Nebraska, and a semi-truck driver got out of their vehicles and was having some sort of an argument. The two walked back to their vehicles and the BMW driver got into his car and then collided with a pickup, which then hit the truck driver who was still outside his vehicle. The semi driver who is from Florida was airlifted to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the pickup, a 57-year-old man from Grovesprings was taken to Mercy Hospital of Lebanon for treatment. The Nebraska man was taken to the Laclede County Jail and is facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving while intoxicated.
