National Weather Service winter weather continues

The KJEL listening area is under a winter weather advisory, with parts of the region including Morgan-Miller-Maries-Camden-Pulaski-Phelps County under a winter storm warning until midnight. Megan Terry with the National Weather Service tells us the freezing precipitation is going to be around for a while…

Terry said that there may be isolated area’s of up to 6 inches of snow, but most of us will see 2 to 3 inches of accumulation. As we get into the night time hours and temperatures drop, wet roads could become dangerous….

According to the National Weather Service temperatures may get just above freezing tomorrow, but as temperature dip below freezing during the night, road surfaces may freeze again.
