This week, people across the state, as well as the nation, are celebrating National Agriculture Week. Missouri has 95,000 farms, employs nearly 460,000 people in agriculture, forestry, and related industries and agriculture remains the state’s number one economic driver. Christi Miller with The Missouri Department of Agriculture, explains how people across the state celebrated National Ag Day yesterday, and how people can celebrate all week.

Missouri ranks second in the nation when it comes to the number of farms, as well as second in hay production. Yesterday was National Ag Day, and the theme for this year was “Growing a Climate for Tomorrow.”
