Murder Trial starts March 9th in Lebanon for Cashawn Williams

The Murder Trial of a Springfield man is set to begin on March 9th in Laclede County. Cashawn Williams was arrested in June 2018, days after he allegedly gunned down Gary Don Peterson, in Lebanon. Authorities claim that Williams shot and killed Peterson as he was walking down Sweet Street in Lebanon on June 5th. Witnesses said that Williams shot Peterson and started to walk away, but then returned and shot him a second time. Williams is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action, and pleaded not guilty on Friday.
