Murder trial set for May

The murder trial of a Lebanon man will begin on May 11th. Last week, the trial of Kevin Kayden was continued. Kayden is accused of murdering his girlfriend, 27 year old Laquita Williams in December 2018. Ms Williams body was found in her home, on North Street, by her landlord, days after she was killed. Police found Williams with her arms tied behind her back, a cord around her neck and her throat cut. Kayden and the victim were allegedly involved in an abusive relationship, prior to the murder. Kevin Kayden is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action. His pretrial conference is set for April 6th, with a jury trial set for May 11th in Laclede County.
