Murder suspect scheduled for hearing in Laclede Co

A Lebanon man is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing today(wed) in Laclede County. 61-year-old Mark D Tampow was arrested in connection with the August 13th, 2021 death of 53-year-old Brenda Rogers also of Lebanon. Police, who were responding to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Polk Street, found Rogers dead from a gunshot wound to the head. During questioning, Tampow told detectives that he dropped the gun and it went off, striking Rogers in the head, but later changed his story. Tampow is charged with murder and armed criminal action.
