Murder suspect bound over to circuit court

An Eldon man charged with murder has been bound over to circuit court. 57-year-old Terry Ewens appeared in Miller County Court on Monday on charges of 1st-degree murder, 1st-degree domestic assault, 1st-degree burglary, two counts of 1st-degree kidnapping, and unlawful use of a weapon. The charges stem from a September 5th incident where Ewens allegedly held three people hostage and assaulted them at a residence in Rocky Mount. A 71-year-old woman died after she was found unresponsive and was taken to the hospital. An elderly man and a second woman were beaten. Ewens’ next hearing is set for January 12th.
