Murder in Texas County

An investigation into a shooting on Wednesday afternoon has resulted in an arrest of a man from Beulah. Deputies responded to the Crow Creek Bar and Grill on CC Highway in the Licking area, and found 58 year old Christopher Gordon, of Beulah dead from a gunshot wound. After speaking with witnesses and reviewing camera footage, deputies determined Christopher Gordon was shot by his brother James Gordon inside the establishment. A brief physical altercation took place between the two men prior to the shooting. James Gordon was arrested at the scene and transported to the Texas County Jail. 62 year old James Gordan is charged with 2nd degree murder and armed criminal action and is being held without bond.
