Murder Charges Filed Against Two Waynesville Residents In The Death of a Child
Kevin Hillman, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney, announces that he has charged 39-year-old Angela West of Waynesville and 36-year-old Shamira Buford of Waynesville each with Felony Murder in the 2nd Degree, Involuntary Manslaughter in the First Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree, and Child Abuse.
These charges are the result of the death of a five-year-old child who was found dead Tuesday inside of a residence within the city limits of Waynesville. The child’s sibling reported to the Waynesville School Resource Officer that his younger sibling was unconscious and unresponsive in the home. The School Resource Officer immediately contacted the Waynesville Police Department who found the child deceased.
Judge Colin Long has issued a no bond warrant and both individuals remain incarcerated in the Pulaski County Jail in Waynesville pending further proceedings.
