Municipal Filings in Waynesville

(Waynesville)–The candidate filing period opened Tuesday for city elective offices and school board memberships across the state. Dr. Jerry Brown, current ward one councilman, filed Tuesday for Mayor of Waynesville. Current Mayor Luge Hardman announced earlier that she will not be seeking a third four-year term in office. Ward two councilman Cecil Davis filed for re-election, as did Ward three councilman Ed Conley. Candidates have until 5 p-m on January 21st to file for the April elections.
