Municipal Election Day
Today is the General Municipal Election in Missouri.
The Lebanon R-3 School District has a bond issue on the ballot. If approved the district’s debt service property tax levy is estimated to remain unchanged at $0.8463 per $100
dollars of assessed valuation for an additional 10 years.
Also in Lebanon, those who are on the April Ballot include: City Attorney Douglas B. Kinde, Ward 4 Councilman Chuck Jordan, Ward 2 Councilwoman incumbent Sheila Mitchell, and challenger Ginger Johnson, Ward 1 Councilman Mike Evans unexpired term, Ward 1 Councilman Gib Adkins, Ward 3 Jeff Mutchler, and for Mayor Incumbent Jared Carr, and opponent Don James.. Mark Rector Lebanon Muncipal Court Judge.
Osage Beach: Mayor Michael Harmison, City Collector: Brad Smith, Ward 1: Kevin Rucker, Ward 2: Phyllis Morose and Ward 3: Celeste Barela.
Camdenton: Camdenton Alderman Ward 1: Incumbent Daniel Ousley
Alderman Ward 2: incumbent Sandy Gentry, Alderman Ward 3: Steve Eden and Don Neuharth SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT “R” – Three Year Term Incumbent *Bill Jeffries.
In Buffalo: Ward 1 Lonnie Glor, Ward 2: Brandon Stewart, Ward 3 Alderman: Terry Lane, and Ward 3 unexpired Term Brett Viets.
In Waynesville: Mayor: incumbent Sean Wilson and challenger Steve Lynch. Ward 1: Incumbent Councilman Rob Rice, with challengers: Marilyn Troutman and Mark Sharadin. Ward 3: Ryan Bland, Ward 4 Councilman, Incumbant Robert Hyatt Junior. . Ward 3: Councilwoman Trudy Dils a 1 year unexpired term.
In Stoutland: For City Council there are two seats open and the candidates are Lavera Milligan, Wendy Zeigenbein, Kasin Thomas, and Jared Morrow.
Issues:
In Phillipsburg the Village Board is seeking approval to not hold annual elections if the number of candidates who have filed is equal to the number of positions to be filled.
Conway Special Road District #2 is asking to continue to levy the additional property tax rate of 35 cents per one hundred dollars assessed valuation, for a period not to exceed four years.
The City of Conway, Missouri is seeking approval to not hold annual elections if the number of candidates who have filed is equal to the number of positions open.
In Hazelgreen Fire Protection District residents are asked to authorized to levy an additional tax of I not more than Thirty (30) cents on one hundred dollars of the assessed valuation to provide funds for the support of the district.
Lake Ozark Fire Protection District is asking for a sales tax in the amount of 1/2 of one percent and the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District Ambulance is seeking to impose a sales tax of 1/2 of one percent, and reducing the property tax levy to 50 percent of the previous year’s revenue collected from sales tax.
Osage Beach is seeking to impose a local use tax at the same rate of local sales tax for improvements to the Osage Beach Parks and Recreation System.
Osage Beach is also seeking approval to provide by ordinance for the appointment of a City Collector.
Linn Creek is seeking approval to forgo uncontested annual municipal elections if the number of candidates who have filed is equal to the number of positions to be filled.
The Village of Four Seasons is seeking to impose a local use tax at the same rate as the curent sales tax
Horseshoe Bend Special Road District is asking to retain the present 35 cents extra levy on $100 dollars assessed valuation, for 4 years.
The Election Polls will open at 6am and close at 7pm. Regional Radio KJEL will have election coverage throughout the evening.
