Multiple calls of a possible scam in the area
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department has received multiple calls of a possible scam in the area. It’s reported a fake Facebook account is contacting individuals and requesting sensitive photographs and/or videos from that person. Once those are received, the Facebook account then threatens to release the photographs or videos if a monetary amount of money is not received. At this time, the sheriff’s department has investigated two possible cases of this scam. The Pulaski County Sherriff’s Department reminds the public to remember to be cautious when sharing any personal information online, and It’s best to not share any information with anyone you do not personally know.
