Mother of 3 year old abused child charged

The mother of a 3-year-old who was found severely abused earlier this month is now charged with 2 counts of felony child abuse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. On March 29th, Laclede County Deputies responded to a home in the 22-thousand-block of Green Gables, where they found the 3-year-old boy laying on a mattress on the floor. The boy’s eye was swollen shut, his legs were in an abnormal position and his arm was in a brace. 39-year-old George Wade Holmes was questioned and later arrested. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment and was found to have a broken arm, a broken leg, and indications of shaken baby syndrome. The child was then airlifted to a Springfield hospital and was found to have an infection in his blood and bones, multiple fractured bones, and was suffering from malnutrition. On Tuesday, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Carrie Ann Frazier, the child’s mother.
