Morgan County Man Arrested For Child Pornography

A Morgan County man is being held without bond after his arrest for suspected crimes against a child. The investigation of Randy Abbot of Stover began after a witness informed The Morgan County Sheriff’s office about Abbot allegedly possessing child pornography. At the time, Abbot voluntarily surrendered his iPhone and provided the passcode for it. Deputies applied for and were granted a search warrant to examine the iPhone, and found six images of underage girls, as well as web links to child pornography portals on the phone’s data. He was arrested at his residence on Wednesday and was charged with a Class D Felony of Possession of Child Pornography. The case is ongoing and more evidence is being collected.
